Goal of the festival is to celebrate and promote the preservation and conservation of the Southern Watershed Area (Virginia Beach and Chesapeake). The festival highlights the area's significant, natural, cultural and historic resources. Exhibits, entertainment, demonstrations, retail vendors, food, children's activities and games. This festival was created as an outreach and education component of a Special Area Management Plan for the Southern Watershed.
